Tajbakhsh discusses the Iranian national and local elections on June 18th. “In other words because the basic preconditions necessary for fully free and fair competitive elections – freedom for political parties, freedom of expression and assembly and so on – are missing, how to deal with highly manipulated elections is always an issue for democratic parties and individuals.”
