IIE-SRF Fellowships for Threatened Scholars, Applications Due June 29
IIE-SRF offers fellowships to support temporary academic positions at universities and other higher education institutions for endangered scholars so they can continue their academic work in safety.
IIE-SRF has awarded fellowships to over 850 scholars from 60 countries, arranging visiting academic positions at more than 415 partner institutions in 46 countries.
Who can apply:
Professors, researchers, and public intellectuals from any country, field, or discipline may apply.
- Qualifying applicants are currently facing or have recently fled from direct and immediate threats.
- Preference is given to scholars with a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in their field, and who have extensive teaching or research experience at an institution of higher learning.
- Women and scholars from under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
IIE-SRF typically does not consider applications from individuals who have been displaced for more than two years, or who hold citizenship or other permanent status in a second country.
