Africa Development Analytica (AfDA) is an independent organization dedicated to conducting high-quality research to improve understanding and inform policy-making on the triple-burden of survival in Africa: climate change, conflict, and poverty.
Climate change, conflict, and poverty are deeply interconnected and mutually reinforcing in many developing regions of the world. Africa is a region where the interconnectedness between these triple challenges is highly pronounced with far-reaching consequences, but where our knowledge remains limited. AfDA’s primary objective is to conduct rigorous research on the interlink of these challenges in Africa and provide evidence-based and context-specific insights and support to inform effective policy design and implementation to tackle them. The resulting outcomes are improved knowledge, awareness of effective policies, programs, and investments in peace and security, climate change as well as inclusive and sustainable development.
AfDA is a recently established think tank by scholars in exile but with profound understanding and extensive research expertise on the challenges facing the African region where they come from. AfDA’s inception is the result of a collective passion and commitment of individuals deeply invested in making a positive impact on Africa’s future.
