Council for At-Risk Academics (CARA)
Based in Europe, with 115 universities in the CARA-SAR Network, CARA helps those who are still in immediate danger with practical and financial help, including help for scholar’s families.
In response to the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, which has made it almost impossible for Cara to bring new Fellows to the UK, Cara has temporarily redirected some of its efforts to providing more assistance to refugee academics who are already in the UK, to help them to find ways to reconnect with academia and re-build their careers.
