Martin Roth Initiative

The Martin Roth-Initiative protects artists who are committed in their home country to the freedom of art, democracy and human rights by enabling temporary residence in Germany or third countries for the purpose of protecting those who are being persecuted.

In light of VOCID-19, the Martin Roth Initiative is calling on art and cultural organizations in Germany to submit project applications for virtual residency projects. In contrast to physical residency programs, an exchange and collaboration takes place in virtual space. The host organization and its scholarship holders have the opportunity to implement a joint artistic / cultural project as part of an MRI grant.
