University Autonomy is the Key to Tackling Academic Corruption

In a new article published in Times Higher Education, Consortium scholar, Ararat Osipian makes the argument that university independence from the state is an essential factor in ensuring the integrity of institutions of higher education. This is in part, he claims, because “university leaders are likely to be more concerned about the reputational risks of misconduct than state bureaucracies are.”
