Maria Auxiliadora Briceño Barrios, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Maria Auxiliadora Briceño Barrios is a Research Scholar at the Center for Urban and Global Studies at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the section editor of PASOS, Journal of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Spain, and an editorial board member of the Journal Visión Gerencial (Venezuela).

Dr. Barrios earned her Ph.D. in Applied Economics (Doctoral Program in “Training, Employment, and Regional Development”) from the Department of Economics of Institutions, Economic Statistics and Econometrics at Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) in 2015. She also has a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Applied Economics from ULL and an M.Sc. in Administration from Universidad de Los Andes. Her research interests include management, small and medium-sized enterprises-SME, family businesses, and business strategies.
