NUIEC Scholar Lecture Series

The Scholar Lecture Series provides Consortium Scholars with opportunities to present their research or personal story to new audiences (in person or online). Invitations to speak at conferences or departmental events will provide the Scholars with academic exposure, help them build relationships with their colleagues outside their host-university or college, and may help to lessen their sense of isolation. Inviting a Consortium Scholar to speak is also an important way to call attention to increasingly egregious attacks on academic freedom, and to introduce a new and valuable perspective to your colleagues and students.

How you can help: We would like to encourage you to consider whether any of the Scholars listed below might be a good fit for any conference, webinar, panel, or other event occurring on your campus this semester. The Consortium has funding to cover a modest stipend for the scholar. For more information, or to be in contact with our Scholars, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at uieconsortium@newschool.edu
